The Death of Mr. Schemer

I
Found
My
Awakening
to
Simply
be,
a
Beginning,
a
Flowering
of

. . . Divinity . . .

Truth
was

. . . blossoming . . .

I
Was
Unfolding.

Eventually
I
Realised
that
I
was

. . . Not . . .

Emerging
from a

. . . Dream . . .

I
Discovered
that
I
am
Reality,

The
Real
I
Resides
here,

. . . Perfectly . . .

Existence,
you see,
is just my

. . . Actuality . . .

Yes,
It's
Actually
Happening
from
Inside of
Me . . .

. . . manifesting,
from within,

. . . externally . . .

The
Illusion
is the
Conditioned Self,
The
Personality;

. . . the dreamer . . .

The
One
who thinks
Discursively,
Reacting Emotively,

. . . it is egotistically deluded . . .

. . . for . . .

When
I
Separated
from the
Dreamer,

. . . the dream concluded . . .

No
More
cunning,
Clever
Mr. Schemer!

And,

. . . Now . . .

In
This
Moment

What
Remains
?

The real ‘I’.

The still mind.

A body in existence.

. . . being . . .

And
That is

The End

of
The Scheming Self's
Resistance.

  1. I see, so this is what you add on my post, eh? So there was no dream, but there was the dreamer...

a nice, enriching point of view.

    Thanks, Doug :)

  2. Shinzen, too much like a sermon for you? Maybe a bit too long and tedious . . .

. . Well, I call it 'The Sermon on The Mount-Blog' . . how's that? I've even got a photo of said Mount-ain for us to undertake the sermon. Perhaps we should go climb it together . . .

    Amen ;-P

  3. Ta-Wan,

As usual you've wrapped this one up quite nicely! Thanks :)

  4. Right, Rizal . .

Yes, interesting isn't it, hm. I wrote this directly after I wrote on your own blog post! I was moved in the moment to expand and adjust as is the 'Way' of the moment!

I found my sojourn through 'truth' to be full of contradiction, paradox and irony . . what say you?

The teachers who made the greatest impact in my life were full of it, in the beginning I definitely struggled to grasp their real message but eventually I moved through the contradiction into that place where it simply left me laughing . .

. . as I realised the truth that lay hidden within their words.

I'm a 'Wayward Yogi' don't you know? Meaning that I'm quirky, full of contradiction and paradox. I can only be what I am, and so it unfolds . . .

    Amen x2 :)

  5. Doug: not so much a sermon...the Amen is just one big heartfelt confirmation that you nailed it...in Karate we us the word, 'Osu', and say it loudly...sort of like a porn star screaming 'yes' :D

  6. :-D

    Shinzen,

I happen to think it is somewhat sermonesq . . if you catch my inference? I have some short and sweet ones lined up though . . with the odd 'Amen' moment thrown in of course!

You really didn't need to reply, I was being quirky, that's my way, but I do appreciate everything you say :)

    OSUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!

  7. So much more than a simple 'to thine own self be true' it was a call to face and embrace. I like it.
...And Doug, thanks for the kind words of encouragement you left on my blog. It means a lot.
    Warm regards,
    Simone

  8. Yes Simone, face and embrace is correct. It's a call to arms . . Arjuna goes to war with his enemies in the name of Krishna! The war is already raging, it's just that most people have lost 'sight' of the battlefield . . . meanwhile their souls are slowly dieing . . .
