I Know Not What

Sojourning
through
a
lifetime
of
Yearning.

She
Seeks
a
certain

. . . Je ne sais quoi . . .

Amidst
the
Minds
Deceiving
Troughs
and
Peeks . . .

. . . Whilst
her
Soul
Burns,
She
Perceptively
Feels . . .

. . . She
Sleeps.

Yet
The World
keeps
Turning

. . . turning . . .

Every morning
Waking,

. . . returning . . .

STOP!

Her
Stomach
Churns,
and
yet,
The World
Still
Turns.

. . . How can this be so,
she yearns to know . . .

Who am I?
Why am I here?
What is life's meaning . . .

. . . her mind
is
Still
Teeming
with
Circling Thoughts,
Inner Conversations,
And that
Deceptive Imagination;
Created
by
Her
Thinking Minds
Hallucination.

The
Regurgitation
of
a
Lifetime Past . . .

. . . into
Present Moment
Cast . . .

On
Horizontal
Thought Lines,

Yes,

Thinking
is
of
Past Times.

The last moment,

Yesterday,

NOT
Let go of,

Is
Imposed . . .

On
This
Present Moment,

And
is
Ready

to be . . .

Disposed
Of.

Now,

. . . she lets go . . .

  1. Thinking is of past times...

and of future as well :p

Yes, let us let go of mind; so we have nothing (and no one) to answer :p

  2. Hi Rizal,

Thanks for commenting, much appreciated :)

Interestingly, self-observation tells me that all 'thought' is of past times, because thinking is what unfolds out of our gathered past, out of the conditioned personality; the I-Ego. And that very conditioning is simply the accumulated past . . .

Therefore, even when we think about the future we are using past impressions and experiences to do so, which is why I say that thought is a regurgitation of the past. You are quite literally re-living the last moment (the past) in this moment when you think.

As you know, being (Tao) has no past and no future for it is eternal (Now).

In the poem the individual realizes that something is missing, but she doesn't know what it is at first; she is awakening . .

. . she is observing the conditioned thoughts and emotions moving discursively within her mind, she realizes that they are not her reality, and then she separates from them; she lets go and enters present moment awareness; being or the Tao etc :)
