What's All 'This'?

If there is only
this,
Is this all there
is?

. . . huh . .  .

If I slip into the
past,
Will that moment
last?

. . . ssttreettccchhhhh . . .

Hold on,
no,
it's already
past.

. . . boing . . .

If I look
ahead,
Will I be there
instead?

. . . strain . . .

Well maybe,
but
only in my
head!

. . . scratch, scratch . . .

What happens when
one accepts
what
Is?

. . . yawn . . .

The
Realization
is
there
is
Only

. . . This . . .

Unfolding-Arising-Happening

. . . ahhh . . .

  1. Good stuff Doug. Your opening line reminded me of a Gahan Wilson cartoon of two monks sitting. The older monk telling the younger, who has a surprised yet uh-oh look on his face, 'this is it'.

  2. :-) yes indeed, so it is! The seeker seeks what already is, but even that is just fine the way it is. It would appear that oneness enjoys the 'game' of individuality . . a play within a play within a play....

....awakening from the dream of the conditioned personality with its ingrained individuality into the nothingness that is simultaneously everything...

...and yet is simply 'this'...and there is nothing more? Wow, is it any wonder that the so called 'masses' struggle to come to terms with 'this'? They are all doing their best to avoid it....ha, ha....thank you so much for your contribution Shinzen :-)

  4. Hello rizal,

I visited Duden Waterfalls, near Antalya in Turkey last August while on holiday with my son and my nephew. The picture is of a hole in the ground that drops straight down to the river below; I had to lean over quite a distance to take the picture ... I wouldn't want to fall down it, that's for sure!

What does the picture represent? Well, we had a very nice holiday together, thank you very much, ha, ha ;-)

You want more ... well, the hole is larger than a rabbit hole, and there's no white rabbit to follow in this storyline ...

... and no Alice, not even a Neo. Does there have to be something to convey?

OK, my last photo was of an ant walking on a flower head, it represented 'The wayward Ant', being where he happened to be in the moment; just like this particular wayward yogi ;-)

Now, when I took that photo I was unaware of the ant getting into the shot, but I loved what it represented . . too many people want everything perfect, they don't want an ant getting in the way, or a wayward yogi speaking out of turn ... ha, ha ... you see my point?

Well now, this photo does represent something to 1yogi2many, but do you have any ideas as to what it might represent to you?

    All participants are welcome ;-)
