Yes indeed .... I'm always telling my children that the best way to learn anything is to 'do it', and don't be afraid of making mistakes, getting things wrong or failure ... there is no failure, only a learning experience. The more you practice anything, the better you become....
...however, I'm still not going to be picking up our cat, 'Princess Paws of MurMurchee', by her tail ....well she is Royalty after all ;-)
There's no greater teacher than experience! Telling a child not to touch the hot stove is nothing compared to getting a blister on the finger! :-)

I agree as well. Nothing like direct experience being the best teacher. We have a saying too. 'There are no mistakes, only discoveries'.
