Aha!

Liberation is not something that happens to you.

Liberation already
is.

But for the individual who seeks
liberation
and/or
enlightenment
it is
believed
that
it
isn't.

The seeker thinks
and
believes
that
liberation
is an event that happens
in
time.

Liberation is
not
an event that happens in
time.
How could it be
when
Liberation already
is?

Liberation
is
Being.

Being
is
Liberation.

Being
is all there
is.

The
seeker
is
individuality.

The
seeker
is
separation.

When there is no longer a
seeker
all that remains is
being.

The
seeker
is
simply
seeking
what it already
is.

You

. . . are . . .

Liberation.

Aha!

. . . that's right, now stop chasing your tail!

  3. Shinzen, thanks, but I simply find myself doing what was done to me.

Is it too simple as implied by our friend Ta Wan, tongue in cheek or not? The truth is too simple for the complicated 'individual' to understand; it is beyond understanding, but not beyond realization ;-)

  4. Thanks Ta Wan, when 'trying' the bible be sure to 'try' hard, it'll probably get you nowhere, but maybe the eventual realization that you're still chasing your tail will bring you to a point of no longer 'trying'!

Hey, just having a little tongue in cheek banter, ha, ha ;-)

  9. LOL. I love the comments as much as the post!

Doug, a great post as always. I can relate. Looking at my life as a whole, everything combined has led me to my current perspective. It was not one single event that 'happened' to me. It is then easy to realize that I've always been the way I am but it takes the experience and attention to understand how.
